We're working together to find the best 'Software Stack' for HR consultants.
What's a Software Stack?
It's simply a list of different softwares and technologies you should use to run and grow your business.
Think accountancy, emails, data management, HRIS, Microsoft 365, video conferencing, client and workflow management and CRMS.
Every consultant I know is using lots of different softwares, in lots of different ways and most find it really complicated and overwhelming.
I want this to change and that's why I'm facilitating this group to help you find and use the best software in your business to make your life easier.
Whether that's XERO, Capsule, Hubspot, Breathe, Docusign, Trello, Microsoft 365... the list goes on!
Why are you doing this?
"James, what's the best CRM for my consultancy?"
I have been asked this question so many times and there isn't an easy answer.
The term "CRM" is so broad and there is a HUGE difference between software to help you manage clients, client work and marketing.
And right now I don't know if there is one software or 'CRM' that does everything you need it to.
That's why I'm facilitating this research project for the HR consulting community
Using my product development and management knowledge, I am finding out:
- What software you need to help you run your consultancy
- What software you need to be a consultant and manage client tasks
- What software consultants are already using
Once I have a total list of requirements, organised via a timeline, my team and I will then go out to market to find software solutions for you.
What's the end result?
Imagine a big comparison / matrix table.
In one column, we have every task you could possibly need to do as a business owner and practising HR consultant.
In the next column we have those tasks grouped via software types.
And then a good, better, best option of softwares that you can use.
Here are the updates...
A group of 10 HR consultants and I got together to chat about this project.
First, we looked at what softwares our consultants were currently using and for what.
We listed all of the different requirements we had from software.
We arranged these requirements via the different areas of running a business.
We decided that we need to look at all of the different HR tasks / workflows there were and to think about the different software we needed to do each one.
